UROLOGY
Urinary incontinence is a serious problem that significantly affects the patients' quality of life, limits their professional activity and social life, leads to social isolation and, in extreme cases, depression, and even suicide attempts.
According to the WHO (World Health Organization) and ICS ( International Continence Society), urinary incontinence is described as a very serious social and civilizational problem. Statistics estimate that it occurs in about 15% of every population. In Poland, it affects about 2.5 million people.
Each patient begins the stay by consulting a physiotherapist and a urologist. The training program involves three training sessions each day (except Saturdays and Sundays). We use a Phenix Liberty device that allows us to carry out an accurate assessment of the ability to activate and study the selective work of the pelvic floor muscles, excluding the abdominal muscles.
We provide progressive muscle relaxation by Jacobson with the use of various utensils: balls, sensorimotor cushions, tapes, and balance exercises (deep sensation), also with the use of unstable ground. After the rehabilitation stay, the patient is provided with an exercise plan to follow at home. To achieve rehabilitation effects, we recommend 2-week stays, and another rehabilitation stay after about 6 months.
The patient is provided with medical and nursing care during the entire stay. All treatments are performed under the supervision of a qualified urological physiotherapist, who continuously determines the intensity of the various elements of training. The hotel part of our Institute offers comfortable single and double rooms with or without balconies, modern equipment. Guests can also use a gym, swimming pool, SPA area, recreational area with basketball and volleyball court, a chapel, and a monitored parking lot.
We also encourage you to attend a consultation with a nutritionist, who will help you choose the right diet for the entire period of your stay, and participate in a series of lectures on healthy nutrition. In addition, on days off from exercising (Saturdays and Sundays) we organise day trips to Prague, Dresden, or Saxon Switzerland.
